waterpark or lake while pregnant?

i’ve read on here quite a bit about not going to the water park while you’re pregnant. i’m 6 weeks. i was wondering why you can’t go to the waterparks? and can i go to the lake still? and if not, why?
also i had someone at work inform me i was not supposed to be drinking my white chocolate frapp in a bottle from starbucks, other than maybe it having more than 200g of caffeine i can’t think of why i can’t drink it? is there anything i can eat or do?😂😂😂

I went to water parks at 18w and was totally fine. I didn't do any of the slides, but the lazy river and wading pool were perfectly fine.

Water parks won’t allow pregnant women on any rides except lakes/pools. It’s mainly to save themselves from potential lawsuits. Yes, even the lazy river is off limits. I was super sad too :(

I’ve been in the lake a handful of times this summer while pregnant, my doctor said it’s perfectly fine. Water parks generally won’t let you do anything, unless they have a regular pool. It’s a liability. If something were to happen to you or your baby, they don’t want you turning around and blaming them and trying to sue.

As far as a waterpaek the risk comes from going down the slides I think, you get bumped too hard and you could miscarry. Its just kind of an unnecessary risk

If you go to a water park just make sure the water is chlorine based. Also if it’s heated, I believe it cant be more than 80* or something, call your OB to double check. Not to worry you, but I was 22 weeks & went to a water park & ended up with a UTI that lead to a kidney infection, so just be careful! As far as the lake, as long as it’s safe to swim in, such as no bacteria... you should be fine. I’ve swam in a lake & had no problems.
