What Would You Do?

So on July 2nd I had my anatomy scan, confirmed that I was having a girl :), after the scan my doctor saw me and he seemed rushed. I thought nothing of it because it's like this at every appointment, just mildly annoying but nothing I couldn't live with. I had my SO with me because of the ultrasound & on our way out my doctor said the rudest thing. He said "don't drink kids". I know we're young but you tell me what pregnant woman drinks at all. I was so mad I switched doctors.

So, what would you have done? Did I overreact?

I don't think it's an overreaction. This is a huge deal and if your doctor doesn't seem committed to providing excellent care to you and your baby then it's a good thing you switched.

As for the drinking comment, you'd be surprised how common it is. There are so many women on here that talk about drinking, smoking (weed and/or cigarettes) and other things you should stay away from during pregnancy. They talk about it like its all good and nothing will happen to their baby. Maybe doc said it just to cover himself just in case you didn't know. Or maybe he's just a jerk. Either way, as I said earlier, if he's not committed it's a good thing you changed docs.
