Brown discharge?

Hey all, I’ve had the Mirena for about 3 years now and don’t really get periods, mostly spotting but I’ve noticed that it’s all mostly brown/dark brown. Doesn’t look like blood, and I have intense cramps. Should I go visit a doctor?

I had Skyla and after a year I didn’t really get a period. I just got dark brown sometimes almost black looking discharge. My dr said it’s just old blood and nothing to worry about! Of course though if you have bad pain, any smell that’s different than usual for you, or don’t feel well it’s always safe to just give your dr a call (:

Same thing is going on with me right now. I’ve had the IUD (Mirena) for right at a year. Last period was 5 days late and much lighter than last time. Two weeks after I started brown discharging (cramping in lower right side and lower back pain/cramping) everyday even up to today, and now I’m a day late again for my period. Not sure what my body is doing...had a ultrasound/pap etc and my dr said everything is in place and looks normal. So I have not a clue lol

I also have an IUD, just went to my obgyn to have it checked because I also have been having a dark brown discharge and any time my husband and I have sex doggy style, it hurts very bad, doctor said everything was fine...... could it be that since him and I both have lost weight that our body's have changed?!?!?!? I have only lost about 45 to 50 lbs., but he has lost about 70 lbs... not sure about the discharge all of a sudden, IUD comes out next year,  and only doggy style hurts.....has anyone else experienced this before, even though the doctor said nothing was wrong?!?!?!?
