Pain meds for bad periods?

Which pain reliever do you use for really bad cramps/ heavy periods? I'm going to San Antonio in a few weeks and I'm due for my period the same day. It'll be my first period since I got my paragard IUD and I'm really nervous!

I use ibuprofen that's for headaches I use it for cramps works like a charm.

I use Motrin they're orange pills they worked immediately and I have really really bad cramps and misplaced and pamprin never work for me.
