Menstrual cup and IUD?

Does anyone have any experience using a menstrual cup and an IUD? I’ve been reading mixed reviews with some saying it’s safe and others saying it could cause early expulsion

My gyno said it was okay to use a menstrual cup, but not a tampon (I think iud strings can get caught in a tampon, but menstrual cups are smooth enough to slide along them). 
So I tried it and it was fine. You have to find a good pisition thought, I hurt myself once when I tried to remove the cup in a crouched position instead of sitting down on the toilet. Crouching worked well for me without the iud, but not with it! I got a bad cramp then, but it passed and everything is fine!
