Had spotting at 7wks and PT this am was very light line

I haven't had any symptoms lately and last week I had some very light spotting, light enough that I wasn't too worried, but this morning I took a pregnancy test and the line was very light. My first appt is this Friday and I'm so sad. I feel silly going in thinking I know I miscarried, but then I read that after 6 weeks PTs often give light lines because the levels are high. It's called the hook effect. Anyone experience this?
