Did your baby have any problems because you used Castor Oil?

Did anyone here take Castor Oil & actually have an issue with mecobium or fetal distress???

People keep saying they heard of someone or read something about it, but I wanted to know if anyone first hand experienced it.

There's actually not been any studies on it. What they have noticed is full term babies are more likely to have passed meconium in the womb but they're unsure of whether it's because they're term babies or because the mom's took castor oil.

What I do know is that it causes diarrhea for mom and if it does happen to work then mom goes into childbirth dehydrated and pooping her brains out.

Doesn't seem worth the risk for me, I'm 39 weeks and trust me, I'd love to get this little boy out but I'll talk to my doc before I try anything.

In 2011 I was pregnant with my son, I was 2 weeks late with him. So I decided what the hell! I took castor oil with orange juice and jumped on an exercise ball and 3 hours went by and my water broke. I did not poop or have diarrhea at all, and my son did not have any problems. He was a healthy 9ib baby. And he is now 4! ☺️
