If I want a ultrasound around 8w, will my doctor do it if I ask?

I've had 2 miscarriages and really, really don't want to wait until 12w like some offices do. I don't know what my new doctors stance is on first ultrasounds, but do you think they'd let me have one earlier if so?

At my drs office first app is between 8 and 9wks so i guess it just depwnds on the office?

I also had two miscarriages so when I got pregnant again I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and got to see the heartbeat!

You can ask but they likely won’t do an ultrasound outside of whatever schedule they typically use, barring a medical reason. My first u/s was at 9 weeks though, so you might get one anyway.

my doctor did one at 7 weeks because of my previous miscarriage.
