advice

okay so almost 6 months ago my bf and i went on a break. durhing that time he cheated on me. the break was NOT a seperation it was only time so he can get sober. well instead of being sober he cheated. he is now clean and we are happier then ever. both seeing a therapists and doing couples counselling. he asked and i said yes!! were getting married. but now im terrifed about telling our families as they believe we shpulsnt be together. questions are how do we tell our families? and how many of you ladies have stayed after your partner cheated and are happy in your relationship.
