Relationship advice?

I was with a guy whom broke up with me 5 months ago. I was madly unloved with him. But he kept on pushing me away, farther and farther till we just couldn’t do it anymore. Left me more broken than I have ever been in my life. Now there is this guy that makes my heart skip, he really understands me, accepts me and we have a connection. I am just terrified to tell him how I feel, in fear that he will leave me too. What do I do?...
