Baby registry but no shower?

This may be a weird question—but is it ok to have a baby registry online and no baby shower? I only ask bc my husband and I moved away from our hometown for work and all our friends are very far away, so I don’t want to inconvenience people by making them fly down for a baby shower. I also have an insanely busy work travel schedule during my 3rd trimester, so I don’t even see how I could find time to have a shower. But it would be nice to take the financial burden off and get some baby gifts. Thoughts?
