Deli subs while pregnant ?

I’m in my first trimester , (8w3d) today’s my sisters birthday so my mom got a platter of deli subs from Publix (our grocery store here in Florida) and ive heard bad things about sandwich meat but everyone’s telling me itll be ok. I believe it’s roast beef , ham and turkey 
And ive been craaaaaving Publix subs so I really want to eat a couple (they’re small maybe like 4-5 inches each) 
Will my baby be ok if I eat a couple of them??? There’s a lot of em!!

As long as they aren't sitting out before you eat them they are perfectly safe to eat if they have been sitting out for a while and not refrigerated they should not be eaten.

I've eaten LOTS of cold subs for both of my pregnancies and everything has been fine. You're more likely to get listeria from an ice cream machine at a fast food restaurant. Eat what you want and don't let people fear monger you.

My opinion which may not be a popular one - most foods in moderation are fine. I’ve eaten a sub twice while being pregnant as it was my only option. It did put me on the toilet but darn was it ever delicious!

I know a lot of people say it’s okay, but knowing there’s a chance it’s risky, I just can’t. I did read a study that said the majority of deli meat listeria cases are from turkey.

I’ve been eating subway at least once a week. Most of the time I get my sandwich toasted but a couple times I haven’t.

I eat Publix subs every week. I did with my last pregnancy and I am with this one. It's from a clean place, they do a good job with food safety. Talk to your doctor about it, deli meat these days is treated better for listeria and honestly the lettuce is more likely to make you sick. You can have one every once in a while as long as your doctor agrees.

Not sure where you live as it seems to be a common thing for people in some areas to eat deli meat when pregnant so maybe they are getting different advice from their doctor? Deli meats are included on the no-go foods list provided by my doctor and listed on the official health websites so I just follow this advice and avoid them.

You have to heat up the meat, I just ate a sammich. Heat the meat to steaming.
