Changed place of kicks

So my baby has always been head down since he was 24 weeks and I could first feel his movements. Ftm, thought it was gas haha. His hands hit near my hips, his head at my bladder, and feet in my ribs. My ribs hurt all the time. He has, since last night, been kicking a ton around my waist/belly button. Anyone else? Is that normal? I worry he's cramped because he had a ton of room but essentially cut his space in half.
