Trouble naming baby

My husband and I are not sure what we are having yet, but both love the name Owen for a boy. Turns out that my husbands best friend has a son named Owen as well, who he’s only cared to meet a few times in his child’s life. I believe the boy is five or six and his dad has only met him a few times, completely by his own choice. The mother of the child has never held the boy back. My husbands best friend also lives in a different province than us, so we see him maybe once a year (if that). My question is - would it be inappropriate of us to use the name Owen, even though his best friend has a son named Owen also? It’s the only name we have mutually agreed upon lol! Who knew naming babies would be so difficult?
