Medication and trying to conceive?

Question

Could taking small dose of antidepressant such as Prozac 40mg interfere with conceiving?! My first two kids I conceived extremely quick and back to back! Should I stop taking now before I try to become pregnant again? Have been trying for a year now and no luck.  Thoughts? Thanks :)

If you are on prozac ask your doc about. Does he know you are TTC? Ask him for safe options while pregnant.

I talked to my doctor about my meds (mood stabalizers, antidepressants, antipsychotics, etc) he slowly weaned me off most of them because they would not be healthy if i became pregnant. Some meds interfere with ovulation and periods, which make it a bit harder to conceive, but not all of them. Make sure you talk to your doctor before adjusting meds. I am on baby safe meds now, just waiting for the baby.

You need to be switched off Prozac. Once you conceive, you aren't allowed to be on it at all, so I hardly thing it's helpful while ttc.
