So, I married my husband after dating for almost two years and we have always been very close and open with out feelings about things.  Recently we landed on the discussion of having kids. We know we're still young but want to start trying to have kids of our own. Is eighteen too young to start trying?

Wether you should have kids or not is not really determined by age (in my opinion). It shouldn’t be decided by ‘recent’ conversations and certainly not by a bunch of strangers online. So for that reason- you are not ready..

It really depends, are you in a place where you understand the expense and time it takes? What you'll have to give up? Do you have good health insurance (delivery cost alone is about $10,000 on average in the us). Do you have stable jobs? Have you budgeted money to spend on a baby? Have you looked at childcare or the loss of income if one of you stays home? Do you feel mature enough to care for another life? Do you both agree on your parenting styles? (for the last two I highly recommend getting a puppy! Foster if you dont want to keep a dog - it was amazingly eye opening for me and I've been with my husband for over 5 years, I thought we knew everything already!)
