Epidural or no epidural

I'm 19 weeks pregnant with my second baby. With my first I got the epidural but it only worked on one side. They redid it and it worked but wore off right before the pushing began. I was in labor for 24 hours. I also had an allergic reaction to one of the other pain medications they had given me so the experience sucked all around. I'm trying to decide if I want to try the epidural again or opt for the no drugs approach this time... What are your experiences with and without.?
