Taking Prometrium continuously and fearful of anovulation

Jordan • TTC #1. PCOS and Irregular

My OB/GYN prescribed me Prometrium due to low progesterone levels on cycle day 21. However, now I have had back to back periods with only seven days between them. She went ahead and increase my dose of progesterone because of that. I’m taking it continuously since I do not know when I ovulate duty irregularity in PCOS. However everything that I’ve researched indicates that progesterone can inhibit ovulation. Has anyone ever had success with taking continuous progesterone and getting pregnant?
