Need some period motivation.

So in March of this year I decided that I was going to take the birth control shot, which I would only have to take every three months. The doctor never told me what would happen if I were to stop taking it other than that I would get pregnant… Obviously. And of course I thought that I would always take it, so I wouldn’t have to prove the question. However during my three months, it turned out that my body didn’t like the shot so much. I was nauseous all the time and extremely hormonal… I hated it! So I decided not to take it when my three months were up. Then, like clockwork at the beginning of June I got my period and it lasted for an entire month! A month later I got my period again and it lasted for over a month! I called the doctor because obviously I was concerned and she told me I can’t believe your primary care doctor never told you that if you stop taking it, I could get these month periods for up to a year! I was completely mortified when I heard this!! And now today I got my period again! I am so discouraged by it and I am really down today. I don’t want to have a period for a month! I need some motivation, please. Thanks everyone!
