This is a long story so I’m just warning you now

So last year in my freshman year of high school I was dating a guy and we went on a date to a concert. His parents were driving us back to drop us off after the concert and it was around 11 at night. I laid my head on his shoulder and he thought I was sleeping so he grabbed my hand and put it on his private area because he thought I was sleeping. I left there for a minute because I wasn’t sure what to and was panicking but I finally pulled my hand away.

Is this technically sexual assault? He physically assaulted me today and I talked to my parents and I’m thinking about getting a restraining order. My parents still don’t know about the sexual thing that happened because I’m really embarrassed and feel like it’s my fault.

I talked to my school officer about the physical assault and he said to anonymously tell the teacher so he can get help (he has a really bad home life) to help with his anger issues.

My dad said I should take it to the principles office and complain but whenever he gets in trouble he’s gonna know I tattled on him.

What should I do? I really need advice on this situation. Any advise is needed. Thankyou 💕
