HSG radiation

Had an HSG procedure and the OB (who wasn’t my normal OB) told me I might not want to try this cycle because the hsg was done pretty close to ovulation and the radiation from the fluoroscopy could negatively affect the egg that’s released.

Has anyone been told this??

The radiologist said it wasn’t much more radiation than a single chest X-ray(which I know isn’t much) and basically said it would be an all or nothing affect- meaning it either would affect it negatively(would have a miscarriage or not conceive) or it wouldn’t affect it at all.

The procedure was very quick because there weren’t any blockages. Thank goodness.
