Anyone know if it’s safe to eat the Galbani part skim ricotta cheese? Made some Mac and cheese and kind of stressing a bit about it.

If you are in the US any cheese you buy at your average store is going to be pasteurized, and is this perfectly safe. Any unpasteurized cheese sold here must be clearly marked, per the law. You’re good!

My doctor said anything bought in the US is fine except soft cheese like feta. Worry about homemade or something like that.

Can we all just agree that is the best brand of ricotta? It’s so smooth! I have been craving Mac and cheese, but have never put ricotta in it. Sounds delicious. Do you have a recipe? 😊

Fine if pasteurized. All dairy made in the US are pasteurized. Even if not pasteurized, heat kills listeria, so if you're using it in a cooked dish, it's fine regardless.

I’m using the Ovia app to the label just says milk but when i looked on their website it says pasteurized whey milk
