When will it happen?!

Today I am 41+1 with my first baby. Yesterday morning I lost my mucus plug and then my midwife came over to do a sweep. She said she can easily feel the baby's head and the waters around it but can only fit one finger in and my cervix is still quite thick...I'm worried I will need to be induced. What can I do ?!

Take evening primrose. I believe you can insert into your vagina as well (ask midwife) and have sex.

Ugh I'm sorry but this was just me! 1 cm an soft at 41+3, had a sweep and lost the plug the next day then...nothing. Had to be induced with Cervidil at 41+6. Do everything you can to soften that cervix! Sex, evening primrose oil. Walk tons. Hopefully you have better luck than me!

I've heard you can have your feet and breasts rubbed to make your uterus contract and speed up labor. Or you can try making circles while sitting on a big bouncy exercise ball. As much as it may suck right now, try walking. They made me walk around the hospital for two hours to get my labor going. Best of luck mama!
