When you sacrifice more for your SO?

Do you ever feel taken for granted by your SO? That you make so many sacrifices for his/her happiness, putting it above your own, but he/she just never reciprocates or appreciates your efforts?

Yep I feel like I am taken for granted. I feel like he doesn't love me like I love him. That he doesn't care about me and my feelings but I have to support him and listen to his problems

A lot of the time I always sacrifice for my kids first then my husband and he doesn't always he can be very selfish and about material items his folks are the same way so that's why

Not so much sacrifices, but effort yes. I cook, I clean, I pack his lunches, I take care of the laundry, I make sure the bills are paid, I make sure we have a savings. I work 2 jobs, 1 seven days a week, the other 5-6 days a week. He works 5 10 hour days. I understand he does work more hours than me and makes more money, but I'd really like some help around the house. But he comes home and gets on his video game and that's it, or goes and hangs out with friends. I get home around 8:30pm, start laundry, make dinner, serve him dinner and then get ignored while he's playing PS3 online with his friends, almost every night. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I'd just like a little help and maybe some time for me.

Yep and we had a big fight about it last night. I told him he needed to get his shit stright because for almost a year now I have been last. I told him I was tired of a million promises and him only keeping his word on what was easiest for him. I flat out told him I was at my breaking point and no more chances or I will leave for good. I already left for three days because I said I needed time apart because of how he was treating me. He finally got the picture last night. You have to stand to them. Stop doing everything for them. Just stop! If they know they can do what they want and have you cater to them they will never cut their crap out.

I don't think you are overreacting..i mean if both of ya work full days then both of ya can work around the house also..im currently not working so i do everything around the house and even cut the grass sometimes but if we are both working i dont do so much. I still do most of it but with hes help. Hes not much help but as long as he tries to help me out im good.

I used to, but we had a hugeeee talk about it. he joined the military, I quit going to college to move to his tech school with him, we're leaving in 2 months to go to Jersey and so I don't have a job (what's the point if I'm about to leave). he used to make me feel like I do nothing at all. I clean the house, have dinner cooked for him when he gets home, I take care of all the bills, I run all the errands, and I do my damn best! I told him it hurt my feelings because I gave up my time at college to be with him and I wished he wouldn't act like I've not done anything. after that, he hasn't said one rude thing about it.
