Thoughts on Diva Cup?

I'm having thoughts about getting a diva cup because I've heard wonderful things about it. The thing I'm worried most about it is not being able to get it out and not knowing when it starts to leak. Any tips? 
Mostly want to do it to stop using pads and tampons and throwing them in the trash. Yes I'm a conservationist but I won't preach at you, I promise!

most people i know LOVE the diva cup! none of them have had problems with taking it out and leaking. i’ve heard its kind of tricky to put in the first couple of times but you get use to it

I’ve used the Diva Cup for nearly 10 years. It’s fantastic. It takes a little practice but you’ll get the hang of it. I actually forget that I’m on my period. It’s so comfortable. I wear Dear Kate period panties as a backup on my heavy days. Those are a good option if you’re worried about leaks.

I got one and LOVED it (currently 8 weeks 2 days pregnant so not using it). It took a little getting used to... figuring out where it’s supposed to sit and making sure it sealed. I took it slow at first and just used it at home for a couple hours a day and as I became more comfortable with it I wore it longer. It’s great because even with a pretty heavy flow I could leave it for the entire work day and not have to worry about it! Just wear a pad with it at first and then maybe a panty liner if you still aren’t so confident with it. There are tips in the package to make sure you have it in and sealed and I’ve heard there are lots of YouTube videos. I never watched the videos and just used the instructions with the package and figured out what worked best for me
