formula feeding mom?! HELP

How many ounces is your 3 weeks old baby drinking? And how often? I’m not sure if my son is under eating he’s always hungry 😩 i starting supplementing Bc i don’t produce enough breast milk

Baby is 4 weeks and just started taking up to 4/5 oz a feeding. She usually stays around 2-3 oz on average and eats about 3-4 hours. At night sometimes she goes 5-6 hours between feeds. There are some days where she only eats an ounce at a time and will eat like every hour.  Very frustrating. As long as baby has 6+ wet diapers a day and is gaining weight you're good. What I've been doing is weighing myself then hold the baby and weigh again to see how much she is at and I do it like 2x a week cuz I'm paranoid. I'm a FTM

I want to say my first was eating between 1 and 2 oz then. Every hour. She was underweight, so we had to feed her every hour. My second is breastfeed, but almost exclusively pumped milk. She eats 2-3 oz every 2-3 hours. Just feed him what he wants when he wants. If he's spitting up in excess or physically throwing up, he may be over eating. Try offering a binky instead of bottle first.

Thank you ladies ! I just started him at 2.5oz every 2.5-3 hrs and 3 oz at night (he goes 4-5 hours without eating at night) he seems hungry at 2 hours during the day so maybe I’ll move him to 3oz all day every 3 hours my boobs are not doing much for him but confort maybe my boobs are his extra pacifier🤷🏻‍♀️

2-3 ounces every two hours or so, but would go longer stretches at night. Now at 5 weeks she’s eating 3-4 ounces every 2-4 hours.
