1 - I’m almost 16 weeks and my dr said that I can’t lift over 20lbs. My son is 25lbs., and I told her I could not go 24 more weeks and NOT pick him up. She acted like this is normal for mamas not to pick up their children while they’re pregnant...as far as I know I haven’t had any complications this pregnancy (I had a mc in December). Has anyone else’s dr told them they can’t lift over 20lbs? Or that they shouldn’t pick up their other child?
2 - I’ve gone 3 weeks, and according to my scale at home I haven’t gained a single pound. Between my two dr appts (7 weeks) their scale says I haven’t gained a single pound). I only lost 5 pounds in my first couple of weeks. My tummy looks like I’ve gained 10lbs. I’ve been wearing maternity pants for 3 weeks.. I feel like I’m pretty average size (pre pregnancy). Has anyone else (who is average size) not gained any weight? My dr didn’t seem concerned, but I feel like with my son I had already gained at least a few pounds by this point?
