What clothes sizes and how many for newborn ?

Question

Trying to take advantage of Labor Day sale and buy baby clothes that I need . I'm due on New Year's Day and recently moved to north Florida winter is usually in the 30s the coldest and I guess I'll only need for the first few months before it gets warm again . 
How many of the newborn size outfits should I get and how many of the 3m old should i get . 
Also Anyone have a good list that's puts the sizes also ? TIA

I wouldn’t personally buy too many newborn as you don’t know how big baby will be and may not be on them long if not at all. 
My daughter was 8lb 6oz
She wore newborn for maybe 1 month max. 
0-3 lasts a long time and plus they get sicked on or nappy leaks. Good to stock up on this size.

Honestly it’s hard to predict and will depend on your baby, my friends baby was born wearing 3mo clothing, while mine was in newborn clothes (which I didn’t get very many of because everyone told me not to and then regretted it) for over a month and half, even though both babies were born close to their due date. 
My recommendation get as many as you want/can of either sizes but don’t take tags off and save your receipts, then wash them as you need them and whatever is left over return/exchange for next size up.

I have some onesies and sleepers in newborn size. I haven't had my little boy yet, but I have more 0-3 month clothing than newborn because if he's a big baby, he's gonna outgrow the nb right away. He's gonna be swaddled most of the time while we're at home, so I didn't feel the need to buy many pants and stuff. I got some used clothing in bundles and that included a lot of the basics in both sizes and stuff. I didn't really base myself off a list because I did that with my first born and it just didn't end up working for me. I needed way more clothing than the list said and some of the stuff from it I didn't use.
