Did you do PGS?

Jenny • Late 20's. TTC #1 Recovering from 2nd miscarriage at 6-7 weeks.
I'm 29 and have had two early miscarriages. Concerned about having a third. The last one was twins - one a blighted ovum, one tetraplody.
Did you have PGS? If so, what were the costs?
Trying to figure out if it's right for us or if we're jumping the gun too soon. The costs seem crazy.

Hi Emilie. I am sure you're probably busy raising twin boys and won't see this but I was wondering if we could chat a bit about your experience with PSG. We just experienced our third loss and are headed to a specialist in the Boston area next week. Did they give you the option to transfer one or two embryos? Any advice? I'm scared but so excited to peruse another avenue.

I know this is from October but I just had my embies through PGS - sent 5 and had 2 come back normal and when I researched the reasons for the other 3 that came back abnormal , I was so glad we did the testing -I think it makes most sense to do PGS testing even though it's a bit more money spent

Look into nextgen dmxThey are awesome to work with and help pay for costs to determine any genetic abnormalities.

We are starting IVF with PGD now, I lost three babies since last fall and turning 36 in a few weeks so my dr thought it was the right course of action. It's costing us another $5k on top of IVF so this is likely a one shot thing for us. Scary but just hoping for the best. I think my age played a part in our decision and just trusting the dr.

I go in Monday for an ultrasound and to test my hormone levels. As of now we have an embryo transfer scheduled for the 29th. They will only allow me to transfer one. I'm freaking out it won't work. We have been trying for over two years. Never been pregnant

Hi Erica! We also sent 4 embryos for testing and we had two normal ones come back, decided to transfer both and now I'm 20weeks pregnant with twin boys! Good luck, I know the waiting can be nerve wracking. Pls keep me posted! Will be thinking of you!

Does you clinic do any studies? Ours did and because we participated our genetic testing was basically free. The only catch was they put you in a group when you trigger, fresh or frozen. Unless of course you get put into fresh and your dr advises against it. Luckily I got put into the frozen group!
