SO THANKFUL!!!!

Tonight, the scariest thing next to loosing one of my kids happened!!! I took two of my three dogs into town with me, in the back of the truck. I didn’t go in anywhere, so I figured they would be fine. I had a couple of stops to make, the main one being picking up my stepson’s. I did that, and then met up with my mother-in-law for a quick second in a near by parking lot.

We then headed home, and made a stop at a fast food restaurant on the way. We got home and I went to go get the dogs out of the back of the truck. One was missing. Our newest addition, not quite a year old. I quickly got the kids inside and called a family member to come sit with them so I could go look for him.

At this point, I was trying not to freak out and get the kids scared. But at the same time trying to figure out how he possibly could’ve gotten out. We have two tethers, and his collar was missing, but nothing was chewed up. Thankfully one of my friends called her friend that works for the police department in the town where I met my mother-in-law.

They had found him! But they had taken him to doggie jail. The officer offered to meet me there and get him out, which is so awesome. Had I had to wait until tomorrow, it would’ve been very expensive. He was unharmed and very happy to see me!! They found him at the exact place where I met my mother-in-law. So I’m thinking that he somehow finagled his way out of his tether and jumped out after her.

I’m so very thankful to have him back, and I’m very grateful to the officer who found him, and let me bring him home tonight. As well as to the people that helped. We had like five people out looking for him!!

I know this is long, but I’m just so glad he’s home and had to share!

Anyways, here’s my loppy dude. His name is Charlie and he’s a Great Dane mix.
