Daydreaming or zoning out?

z • 22 years old

Ok it’s in the word ‘daydreaming’ that you dream of things during the day, but I’ve always grown up using the word ‘daydream’ when I just zone out and stare blankly at something, just focusing on that one thing without thinking of anything 😂

So I guess I used the word wrong 😂

My boyfriend has been with me for a year, and throughout the 2 years of knowing him, he’s been zoning out more and more frequently, so when I’m talking, or if I’m just fangirling a little over him quietly, he just zones out but listens to me at the same time. It’s a habit of his. Doesn’t happen with just me, it happens in general, I mean, in a way its funny to me, I just giggle when i watch him zone out until he’s back with me 😂I find it to be really cute because he just smiles after he stops.

I’m just wondering.. can any of you relatee or does anyone know why he zones out so often everyday?? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
