Benefits

Hiya just wondering if anyone has any advice when it comes to benefits as I have never claimed for any or anything so don’t no where I stand to what I could receive, I work part time but my partner works full time and has a well paid job (£37,000 a year) our baby is due this month (20th) I have just started my maternity leave and I was wondering if we are able to apply for any benefits such as child tax credits ? Or is our income too high to be able to ? Also how do I go about applying for them I have tried looked online but it all seems very confusing , Thankyou for any advice !
