Provera to help start period?!

I miscarried in April and had 3 regular periods since then. Of course the first month we wanted to try- August- I had no period. I’m like 26 days late and my doctor finally prescribed Provera progesterone pills for 10 days.. she says period should then start 4-5 days later. Has anyone had success with this?!

Yes! I had a chemical at the end of December last year and bled the first week in January. After that, my cycles were completely thrown off. After missing my period the whole month of February, my doctor started me on Provera. My first pill was March 3 and last was March 12th. My period started a week later on the 19th (but my doctor said it could take up to 2 weeks to start after your last pill). I ended up missing my April period, but started naturally the second week of May (she almost put me on Provera again).
