Well this was a surprise!

Two weeks ago we were told baby girl was breach and were due a scan this week to confirm and we’d expected a c section at 39 weeks.

But not wanting to play by the rules, my waters broke at midnight on Monday 3rd at exactly 36 weeks.

A panicky drive to the hospital, some confused staff (who eventually confirmed she wasn’t breach and in fact I was 1cm dilated) and a five hour labour later, here she is! First baby, delivered with gas and air through a very quick but intense delivery, weighing 5lb 7oz. Care in the hospital was wonderful, as we’ve both settled really well we’re already home and finding our feet as a new family!
