Using family name for one baby and not another?

We found out yesterday through the genetic testing blood work that baby #2 is a boy and I am low risk for everything. Feeling very grateful! Our first little boy’s name is Jack Davis (Davis is a family name on my husband’s side). We like the name Dylan for this little boy but are stumped on a middle name. Ideally I’d love to use a family name from my side, but nothing sounds good with Dylan. All of the male names in my family just don’t go with it. 
Is it weird to give one baby a family name & not another? I feel like (know) my mom will have something negative to say if we don’t incorporate my family somehow into his name. 😩

Are there any female names on your side that you could use the male version of? My grandmother's name was Patricia. Our first is a boy and his middle name is Patrick. It still makes it special. We do not know what we are having yet, but if it is a girl, we already have feminine middle names based on our grandpas' names (Rae, Danielle, Lynn). 
Also, while I love the idea of incorporating a family middle name for #2, if we choose a first name that doesn't work with a family name, then we have already agreed to go with something that we like instead.

Honestly it’s your baby to name. Don’t let anyone guilt you into using a name you don’t love. 
If there was someone on your side that you were incredibly close to then I can see using it even if it doesn’t work the best with the first name in order to honour that person... but to me it doesn’t sound like there is a particular person you wish to name your baby after. Because of this I would just choose a name you love (if it was me) 
My brother ended up with a really long name because my dads family had a fit since he’s the only boy. He ended up being named Rory Kenneth-Thomas William (last name) just so that he could be named after each grandfather... it’s ridiculous. Especially as my one grandfather doesn’t even go by Kenneth-Thomas, he shortens it to KT which then meant they had to adjust my brothers middle name to reflect that. It’s now Rory K.T William

... my parents were forced into it and I think my mom regrets giving into the pressure. 
(Also as a side note do not use initials as a name ...since then my brother has had so many issues with government forms.)

I used my grandmothers maiden name. You can get creative with first or middle names or use a form of a last name (ie my maiden name is anderson and I could go with Anders for a middle name)
