Baby number 2

Okay so I need to know if you ladies feel I may be missing something. With my daughter I told my fiance I wanted to do delayed cord clamping but after clamping he was to cut the cord and then when she was ready he was to hold her first. Which happened , I saw to it that it went my way. I'm now 15 weeks with babe number 2 and I want to do it the same way. Am I missing something though? Holding the baby first? My perspective is I hold these babies for months. We bond. I feel them move. He misses that ya know. So with my daughter he held her and locked eyes and zoned out the world. And the nurses and my step mother like yelled and said she needed her mom and I told everyone to stop she has her dad. It wasn't a long hold just enough for me to be stiched and then he gave her to me as she had to try to latch. But I feel weird because everyone says I missed a special moment. But if I take that moment he misses it so I am willing to miss it.
