My LO is 7 weeks and we have struggled so much with breastfeeding.  She lost 11 percent of her birth weight, took 3 weeks to regain, I had to bottle feed her my pumped breast milk for weeks. I've been working with a lactation consultant and my pediatrician, and we did see a lot of improvement but not enough that she could EBF without bottles of my milk.   Well, just left a pediatric dentist and she has a posterior tongue tie. Combined with a moderate lip tie, she hasn't been able to draw my nipple into her mouth far enough or suck enough to pull the amount of milk she needs. I've worked hard to keep my milk up so I'm good there. Tomorrow we get them clipped...I hope this solves it!!! I also wouldn't mind less pain!
