Did my water just break?

Question

I was standing in the kitchen getting ready for work and I felt like I peed myself. A gush of something fell out and I smelled it (gross I know but I figured I should make sure) and it didn’t have a smell. I changed my underwear and it’s not even been a minute and they’re wet too. No other symptoms. No blood, haven’t lost my mucus plug, no contractions and I’m only 31 weeks

I would call you OB/Midwife or go to L&D to be sure. They can test it! Better to be safe than sorry. But yes, that doesn’t sound right.

Could have been cervical mucus? Discharge surge? I’ve had the same thing happen and paid attention to my body and felt nothing else. No contractions , bloody show, nothing else. Call your dr they can check you to be absolutely sure

I would definitely go get checked out. That’s doesn’t sound quite right. The OB or labor and delivery at the hospital can check it to see what it was.
