Number of wool covers to buy?

Hey all! I’m planning to exclusively use prefolds and will covers. No idea how big baby will be of course (plus it’s my first), but I’m guessing somewhere around 7.5-8lbs based on family history. How many wool covers of each size do you think I should get? I remember my mom getting by with relatively few (all wool).... unfortunately can’t ask her :( thanks!

We dont use wool exclusively, (funky fluff fan here!) but on days that we have used only wools 2 was perfect for rotating between.

Wool full time over here, if you plan on full time, I would do 2 trim soakers like WCW or rainbow waters and 2 pairs of leggings or pants in neutral colors that go with your wardrobe. For my girl, it’s plum and a denim color.

I would do 3 per size. That way you can rotate and always have a clean dry cover while others are washing and drying. Since drying takes forever with wool. I have 2 per baby and we only use them at night.

Had a helpful comment from another mom and thought I’d comment on my own question and share it here:) she suggested 3 per size of the smallest two sizes of disana wool covers, and 2 per size after (as baby becomes more continent/poops less).
