Coughing after csection?

I’m 10 days post csection. I’ve unfortunately have had a cold since coming home from hospital and it’s making its way into my throat causing me to cough. Anyone know when it’s okay to cough or blow my nose without needing a pillow at my midsection?? My post op appt is Monday and plan to ask then but just want some opinions or experiences from y’all! Thanks!

I think you’re fine to stop using a pillow when the pain stops and you can cough comfortably without one. It doesn’t actually help keep things together, it just makes the pain of moving tolerable.

I had a could at the end of my pregnancy. My cough would come out of no where. I was almost never prepared for it. So I think as long as the pain is gone you are good. My incision healed perfectly.

Did they not send ya home with pain meds? Oxy was the only thing to take the pain away. Perks and Norco made me sleepy.

Your totally fine if your bit hurting when you cough. The pillow is just for comfort.
