Ovulation and periods whilst breastfeeding

Hey ladies... Could do with some knowledge about cycles returning after having a baby and still breastfeeding.

My beautiful baby is 10 months old and we are thinking about trying for another.

I EBF for 6 months and have continued to feed whilst beginning solid foods (BLW in case you're interested.)

I had my first period on July 25th and started to take OPKs to track ovulation.

I waited and waited and got 2 positives 8 days ago and I have started a period today!

Is it normal to have a period just over a week after ovulating? I used to have very regular periods... is my body still adjusting?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
