Anyone get a negative before their bfp?

I’m 8dpo and even though I know it’s still early I decided to test with a FRER. It was negative. The reason I decided to go ahead and test today is because it seemed fairly common to get a bfp with the FRER this early. I now feel totally discouraged and sad. Has anyone gotten a negative before their bfp? How far apart were they? Thank you.

I used a FRER the day after missed period and it was definitely negative and then I tested about a week and a half later with a $1 test  and it was unmistakably positive. I then bought two more FRER just to be sure and both were positive also lol. Am 21w now. Good luck.

The FRER tests don’t work for me like they say they do. I took one maybe 6 days then 4 days before projected period and they were negative. I took a cheap .88 tests from walmart 3 days before and got a really faint positive. I won’t use a FRER until my period is due or late.

I got my bfp at 11dpo, but had negatives before that.
