Hypothyroid and miscarriage
We have been TTC for 10 months now. Back in March, I had an early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy). My family doctor said that the miscarriage probably didn't have anything to do with my thyroid and that it was probably genetic. He said that now if I continue having miscarriages then he would look more into it.
My test results after starting a low dose of synthroid (back in February) have been showing up in the normal range but I feel like crap pretty often so I'm not sure if my bloodwork is showing normal but my body is saying something else. He said he would increase my dosage only if I ever became pregnant or if my results came back abnormal. Does this sound right or have any of you ladies had your doc increase your dosage and then you have successfully conceived? I'm not sure if my doctor is being stubborn or if I'm just being too emotionally driven about this.
I am pretty new to learning about my condition and am only seeing my regular doctor, as he wont refer me to an endo unless I have abnormal results or he sees fit :-/
What are your opinions and experiences with miscarriages and your thyroid condition? Any suggestions to increase your chances of conceiving?
