Sperm and drinking?

I keep reading articles about how heavy alcohol consumption in men can lead to birth defects in their offspring. Of course my husband is at a bachelor party this weekend and getting smashed and I will likely ovulate tomorrow. Now I’m paranoid that our baby will have FAS. Please someone ease my mind and tell me that their husband drank and your kid is fine!!

It will probably be ok. I heard it makes the sperm slow though.

Have him start taking folic acid. Its just as important for the guy to take it as well as girls to avoid any neural tube defects. I make my hubby take it. We both drink a lot and all our friends who have had babies also partook in heavy drinking and theyve all been fine. :)
