Breast Feed or Don’t Breast Feed?!

First time mom here and the closer I get to the BIG day the more I get confused on which route to take. From the moment I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted to breast feed. However, reality is starting to set in. I know how hard it can be on some women and I know it’s going to be hard to keep up with it while I’m at work and my sons at daycare. Can anyone give me some advice. I can use all I can get!! Thank you 😊😊

Here is my advice, for what it’s worth. 
Breastfeeding has tons of benefits, everyone knows that. It is HARD. It is worth it. And for some women, it is IMPOSSIBLE. 
Try it. Give it your best. And if you can’t, or it’s too hard with work, don’t beat yourself up. Your baby needs food and love..... they will not flourish without food, but long term, the love is what will matter most- not formula or breast milk.

I think if you’re ambivalent about it, why not attempt to breastfeed? You can always switch to formula at any point. Unless you’re dead set against breastfeeding (which is totally valid), I think it’s worth seeing if it’s a good fit for you.

At least give it a try! Your baby needs that colostrum. It’s liquid gold to a newborn. I had a really hard time and ended up having to supplement formula starting around 6 weeks old but it’s absolutely worth it. If you can’t do it or if it’s too hard etc you can always start to wean.

I personally love breastfeeding. It is hard at first. I didnt go into it with any expectations. I decided to just try it and see how it goes. I nursed my 2 oldest for a little over a year. My 2 year old is still nursing. I didnt set any time frame for any of them. I just went with it. I didnt want to make it stressful. My oldest 2 did occasionally get formula bottles and some breastmilk bottles. But i have always hated pumping. So i never pumped much. You can always try it and see if its something you want to do. If you dont like it or it doesnt work out, thats okay too. You just have to figure out what works best for you and your baby.

I would definitely breastfeed!! It is hard at the beginning but it's so worth it when you push through. Look into your local La Leche League group, they can be so helpful!! Also make sure your SO is supportive bc it can be easy if you're in pain for them to want to fix it which usually means formula. Watch YouTube videos specifically "deep latch technique" if you're having nipple pain when nursing it could be a poor latch (this was my issue and it was solved right away when we fixed the latch). Give it a try. It's uncomfortable at first, but I'm glad I stuck with it. You can change to formula later on if it doesn't work out for you.

We have decided to bottle feed
I will pump in the first few days so baby gets those important nutriants but after that it will be only bottles

My advice is breastfeed and formula feed. Once you go back to work baby might only bottle feed but that's okay. You will have gotten the chance to experience breastfeed and you will do what baby wants when you go back to work and that will help you feel better.
Do not introduced the bottle late or your baby might not want it (this happened to me).
