Did you get your nurses a gift after delivery?

I was looking at Pinterest today and I found a post about nurses gifts after delivery.   I had never heard of this (this is my first child and none of my close friends have kids). I was just curious if this was a thing that people did? If you did do a gift what did you get the nurses (and how many)? Any nurses out there have an input about this topic? Thanks!

I did a gift basket for all the nurses and staff that helped me during delivery and the after care. I put different things in it each time i gave birth but I always include drinks of some sort, usually Starbucks ones, snacks such as peanuts, beef jerky, some candy bars, chips, etc. Just a mix of stuff basically.

I had a big thing of a bunch of different candy and chocolates and stuff for them and then it turned out all the nurses were super mean and bitchy anyways. I wish I never would have given them shit.

Basket of coffee and snacks and water flavors. 
I know a few nurses and they all suggested varied snacks lol something quick and easy to eat on the go.
