Spotting instead of period

I was suppose to start my period on the 7th of this month . On the 3rd I had light pink spotting and that lasted for 2 days then nothing . On the 7th when I was suppose to start my period I had nothing all day and then at the end of the day light pink spotting again . Normally the first day of my period it starts off light and gets heavier throughout the day it is not the 10th and my ‘spotting’ keeps going back and forth between very light pink to brown to light red back to pink brown and light right . Has this happened to anyone else ? What is going on ? Can someone help me ?
