Registry help!?!

I already have my big furniture pieces but other than that I could really use some help. I'm a first time mom and I'm afraid to go overboard and put things I won't need or use. What are some necessities and things that helped make life easier? What was a "waste of space"?

Diaper caddy is the #1 thing I use! You load it with diapers, wipes, creams, lotion ex... and you can take all of it easy with you from living room to bedroom to have all your needs with you. 
-Bottles I recommend dr brown. 
-Diapers I recommend huggies.
-Forehead thermometer we used a lot cause babies run hot and we were always concerned he had a fever so having that to check made us feel better. 
-Buy lots of mittens, they slobber on them like crazy so you change them more. 
-lots binkies we kept seeming to loose them and you need different kind to find what your baby likes. 
-saline solution for their nose, we use this mult times a day (doctor said to so their nose stays cleared) 
-burp rags
-wash clothes and towels 
- we liked the in bed co sleeper for the first month, I felt better being able to put my hand on him every once in a while yo check his breathing then we moved him to a cradle

I personally wouldn’t register for clothes.. people always buy clothes. I ended up with way too much.

I put mostly a variety of onesies, diapers obviously, wipes too, some books, bottles, swaddles blankets, baby wash clothes, baby oils, baby shampoos, baby lotions, baby health kit, nail kit, some toys, and some blankets. Those are my necessities ( I don’t really care if I don’t get that much in some of these options though 👏🏻) my not so necessary items the me and my husband don’t mind getting on the registry try are: 
A swing for him to lay in, bottle warmer, a audio monitor, shoes, socks, a bath tub, and a newborn pillow for him to lay in.

Here’s my registry, having a girl. Added a few duplicates and different variations of items on purpose. But I’m a minimalist and this is my second time around, so it should give you a good idea of all your basic needs.
