What insurances covers abortion?

Are there any insurance out there that covers abortion? I’m asking for my best friend so please no rude comments. She’s going through a lot!

It depends. What state do you live in? In California most insurances actually are required to cover it. Unfortunately, more conservative states aren’t as supportive of reproductive rights of women, but I would go to your local planned parenthood for sure!

I don’t know how old you are or your friend but if she’s on her parents insurance they will get the bill/claim. I would look into the low income some states planned parenthood will pay for one a year in full if the person has no funds and under a certain age

They don’t. Technically, certain states have low income qualifications for free abortion care, California does. But an abortion is purely elective, so any reasonable medical insurance won’t cover it.
