Anemic?

Question

I’m currently 30 weeks and I have another round of bloodwork Monday. I’ve been seeing a lot of people have mild anemia and now I’m nervous! I definitely don’t feel overall amazing but that could also be my severe anxiety and being so pregnant lol. I take my prenatals and I do have iron pills on hand in case but never have taken them but should I wait till my bloodwork and see what the dr says. What were your symptoms? I’ll take any advice, I get so scared something sill happen to my baby. I’m a FTM😭

My irons low and just felt fatigued. Have been on natural liquid iron (floradix) as iron capsules can cause constipation. Feeling less fatigued. Don't stress ☺ we get low in minerals because baby's taking them so baby will be just fine either way. I'd recommend just wait and see after your blood test, not a biggie at all. If you want to increase iron and absorbation eat more beans, green veges and red meat in combination with vitamin c e.g. an orange. All the best xx

My levels just today were at a 9, she said they would feel better if they were about 11 or more. I just have to start iron tablets, if those dont work I'll go in a few times a week for iv infusions. Changes in diet help too, more red meat is a big one they recommend. My only real sign was an extreme fatigue. Just two days ago I was up and down taking naps all day, I was only wake for like 10 hours total. Nothing to really be concerned about, it's common in pregnancy, even if it were long term iron supplements are usually enough.

I was really scared too the other day when i found out i was anemic. Im a ftm and my doctor called me multiple times in a row which scared me and then she told me my iron levels were at a 7 when they should be no lower then a 12. They started me on iron. I made a post but everyone was very reassuring and said its very common. I saw my ob today. It wont hurt the baby all anemia will really do is make you feel not the best. I dont even have very many symptoms. Id say my most prominent is my breathing problems i have a really hard time breathing. The most common symptom is fatigue but i haven’t felt that too too much. I feel it as much as i always have but both symptoms are tolerable and i wouldnt have known anything was wrong unless i had my blood taken for my glucose test. Dont worry mama you’ll be okay!! And it doesnt hurt to take iron even if you dont need it so go ahead if you are worried

I came out with al white lumps on my tongue very painful found out yesterday iron is low started to take tablets and can’t believe how awake I feel

i’m mildly anemic as well, don’t worry you and your baby will be fine ❤️ take a slow release iron supplement, it’s easier on the stomach
